
Vermicelli Pulao
Want to try making pulao with Vermicelli? Try this easy vermicelli pulao recipe, a rich and yummy recipe with paneer, eggs, and veggies.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Vermicelli
- 6 oz Paneer cut into cubes
- ¼ cup Cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1½ tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 Eggs
- 3 cups Hot water boiled
- Salt as per taste
Whole spices
- ¼ tsp Fennel seeds
- 4 Cloves
- ½ inch piece Cinnamon
- 1 Star anise
Vegetables
- 1 Onion chopped into small pieces
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 3 Green chillies Slit and cut into pieces
- 2 Carrots cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup Green peas
- Cilantro as required/as per taste
- Lemon juice of one lemon
Curry powders
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Pepper powder
- ¼ tsp Garam masala
Instructions
- Into a nonstick pan, pour 1/2tbsp of Vegetable oil and shallow fry the paneer cubes
- Into another pan, pour 1 tbsp of ghee, and roast the vermicelli until golden brown color
- Once after raosting, move the vermicelli into hot boiled water
- Keep it aside and stir intermittently
- After moving, pour a little oil and ghee and roast the cashew nuts and roast it.
- Move the nuts into another bowl
- Then to the pan, drop the whole spices
- Once the spices turns hot, put the onion, saute well
- Add ginger garlic paste and the green chillies, stir well until sauteed
- Then drop the carrots, green peas and stir well
- Pour 3tbsp of warm water to it, to cook the veggies
- Once the veggies turn half cooked, drop the curry powders and stir well
- Add eggs to the center of the pan and scramble it
- After that drop the vermicelli which would have been cooked by now
- Put the fried paneer, cilantro and lemon juice
- Combine everything well
- Add salt to taste
- Mix everything
- Cover and cook for 5mts, let the steam come
- Open the pan and garnish with cashew nuts.
